When I tell you guys that you are the only one standing in your own way, I mean it.

And I admit it sounds really cliche LOL

So let me break this down for you.

We ALL have unconscious beliefs that either expand or limit what’s possible for us.

Beliefs like:

I’m not good enough

I need people to like me

I have to be perfect

I can’t do it

I don’t deserve success

I have to make other people happy

It’s wrong to make money

Others will think I’m greedy

…and the list goes on…… and on…. And on……..

When limiting beliefs are unconsciously running the show (like they do 99% of the time….) you’ll get outer results that prove the belief.

That’s just the way it is. Some things will never change. – Bruce Hornsby (or was that Tupac?)

In other words, it doesn’t matter what you are consciously saying:“I am successful! I can do this! Look at how hard I’m trying!”

If what you believe at the unconscious level is “I am gonna fail, I suck, things will never work out for me”– then THAT is what will win out. 100% of the time.

Another take at this:

if you SAY “I can do it, I can do it, I can do it” but you FEEL sick to your stomach, and run mental movies of everything falling apart…. The latter will win out. Things will fall apart right on schedule. Boo.

This is exactly why I walk my business coaching clients through several different ways of identifying and removing/reprogramming limiting beliefs:

It’s a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge and I mean huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge part of their success.

While many “business” coaches focus on all the external business tips, knowledge, steps, tactics, tricks, marketing stuff (which IS important) – I focus on helping my clients make the meaningful INNER shifts that will unleash, well, their inner badass.

Because when your inner badass is unleashed, there is nothing in the way of you actually implementing all the external stuff.

Tis’ the best leverage.

Even more – is when you surround yourself by other badasses, the impact is compounded.

As one of my rad clients said, “you guys are the best friends I’ve ever bought.”

This fellow came to me on one of our coaching calls with a request for help with his “procrastination” problem. Like, every time he went to “work on” his business stuff, he’d find himself checking out watching TV or doing the dishes instead.

Using my mindset ninja skills, we quickly identified the core issue was that he was berated constantly from age 5 on, by his father, about his schoolwork never being good enough.

So this belief had taken over, and he was naturally “giving up” like kids do when they give their best effort and it’s torn down. “it doesn’t matter. I can’t succeed. I’m going to fail I’m not worth it. I don’t deserve it” was completely running the show.

We had a good cry.

And then we did some processes to help let that shiz go — fast. And he did.

And then — he was IN ACTION – naturally – because the barriers to doing so had been removed.

Best of all, at the time, he was a new dad. So naturally, this shift also empowered him to BE THE KIND OF DAD HE WANTS TO BE for his sweet son, instead of unconsciously repeating old patterns and becoming the kind of dad he HAD.
